Source: Salesman nabbed for US$38K fraud – The Standard
A sales assistant based in Bulawayo appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi last Friday facing allegations of fraud involving over US$38 000.
Samuel Chifana (31) was remanded out of custody on US$100 bail.
He will return to court on January 13 .
The complainant is Hyperfeeds Animal Nutrition (Private) Limited, which is represented by Archford Muyambo .
Prosecutors alleged that on September 30 at Hyperfeeds Waterfalls in Harare an audit unearthed some discrepancies involving US$14 114.
On November 8, the company conducted further investigations and discovered that goods worth US$5 209 could not be accounted for .
A physical stock take was carried out at the same branch and a shortage of stock valued at US$19 38 was uncovered
Chifana was arrested subsequently.
