SIX suspected robbers armed with an AK47 rifle and a pistol pounced on the home of Surrey managing director Mr Simon Arnold (50) where they shot and injured him before they went away with US$1500, three pistols and various valuables.

The incident occurred around 1 am yesterday.

Mr Arnold is now recuperating in a local private health institution from gun wounds after he was allegedly shot four times by the gun-toting men.

They allegedly sped away in an unmarked Toyota Wish vehicle.

Police spokesperson for Mashonaland East Province Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi confirmed the incident and said a manhunt has been launched to bring the suspects to book.

He appealed to the public for information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
