Source: Suspected Vehicle Theft Ring Busted In Harare, Three Arrested
Police in Harare have arrested three suspects in connection with the theft of motor vehicles which occurred between May 2024 and 03 August 2024 in Harare.
ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi identified the three suspects as Deniver Tinotenda Kazembe (26), Nicholas Kudzaishe Chinyangara (48) and Edwin Mupako (37). He said:
On 08th august 2024, detectives from CID Vehicle Theft Squad, Harare arrested Deniver Tinotenda Kazembe at Gazaland Shopping Centre, Highfields, Harare after receiving a tip that he was selling a stolen Honda Fit vehicle.
The vehicle was stolen at a night club in Kuwadzana, Harare on 03rd August 2024. The arrest led to the recovery of the vehicle and subsequent arrest of the other two suspects.
Further investigations by the detectives led to the recovery of five other stolen vehicles.
The suspects allegedly targeted vehicles parked at parking bays and car parks at various locations in Harare which include nightclubs and shopping centres. Said Comm. Nyathi:

The Zimbabwe Republic Police warns criminals involved in vehicle theft in the country that crack teams are on high alert and will effect arrests on criminal syndicates without fear or favour.
