Just a few days after competing at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, Moses Tarakinyu is eyeing a top five finish at the Old Mutual Vumba Half Marathon on Sunday.
Tarakinyu was in South Africa last Sunday for the Cape Town Marathon where he finished ninth.
Speaking to Zimpapers Sports Hub, Tarakinyu said he is in good shape to compete on home soil on Sunday.
“It was on our end of year plans, so we just have to enjoy the mountain run. I just need to be in the top five, so that I will have some small amount of money to use during my marathon recovery,” said Tarakinyu.
“I know every day is a new day and depending on how my body reacts on Sunday, if it allows me, I can win the race.”
