Kembo, who was granted $50 bail by the High Court last week, is due to appear before regional magistrate Hosea Mujaya.

Allegations are that on July 29 this year, the complainant was asleep in her bedroom when Kembo arrived home and ordered her to warm his food.

The complainant allegedly went back to sleep after serving him his supper.

Kembo allegedly called her again and ordered her to watch the television with him, but she refused.

As she went back to her bedroom, Kembo allegedly followed behind making sexual advances, prompting her to scream for help as the accused kissed and raped her once.

After the abuse, he allegedly ordered her not to spill the beans, but the complainant immediately filed a police report, culminating in Kembo’s arrest.
