ZANU PF is a futuristic party that will take the necessary steps to realise a prosperous future for the people of Zimbabwe, President Mnangagwa has said.
Addressing the 23rd Annual National People’s Conference at the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT), the President said ZANU PF will remain a revolutionary mass party and the architect of prosperity envisaged in Vision 2030, which seeks to elevate Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income economy.
“ZANU PF is a futuristic organisation and never a prisoner of past victories,” President Mnangagwa said.
“We shall forever remain both a revolutionary, mass Party as well as architects of the current and future prosperity of our motherland, Zimbabwe. Semusangano tine hutesve zvekuti heki! Tinoona, nekugadzirira ramangwana renyika yedu rakajeka. Let us boldly confront the ever-evolving local and global socio-economic realities, which include climate change-induced disasters, technological advancements, Artificial Intelligence and global economic disruptions, among other contemporary trends.”
The conference convened against the backdrop of accelerated economic growth and infrastructure development under the Second Republic.
Commenting on the conference theme, “From Resolutions to Results: Consolidating Economic Development and Deepening Empowerment towards Vision 2030,” the President called it a clarion call for concrete action to positively impact the lives of citizens.
“The milestones realised tell of the successes of a colossal, modern, futuristic and people-centred Party,” noted the President.
“ZANU PF remains an unmatched political force. Sithi Amhlophe. Tinoti Makorokoto. We say congratulations to party structures and functionaries at Government level. The state of the party is on a sound footing. Party unity is unbreakable, while the prevailing peace and stability in the country is enabling business endeavours and community activities to thrive.”
The President commended the party’s structures—including the Women, Youth, and War Veterans Leagues—for growing membership.
He reiterated his call for opposition members to join the ruling party.
“Opposition parties are in disarray, with no agenda for the people. We must recruit more members. Dzokai kumusha. Homwe yeMusangano haizari, tose tinokwana muZANU PF. Buyani eKhaya isikhwama seZANU PF sikhulu-kakhulu.”
Reflecting on the endorsement of Constitutional Amendment Act Number 3 and recent by-election victories, the President said these milestones demonstrate the nation’s confidence in the party’s mobilisation infrastructure. He also emphasised that leadership roles are for public service rather than personal glory.
“Leadership positions are not for personal glory or publicity; we are here to serve,” the President stated.
“Understanding the correct line of the revolution is everyone’s obligation. Gwara reMusangano wedu, nezvido zveruzhinji ndizvo zvinotaura mafambiro edu tose.
“MuZANU PF, hakuna mazvake-mazvake. Famba nevamwe. Kwete kusara kumashure, kana kumhanya manhingi. Ngatifambei tose, step by step, brick by brick and stone upon stone, tichivaka nyika yedu.”
