A police officer was today arrested in Harare’s Kuwadzana extension after he allegedly overcharged a motorist at a suspected bogus roadblock in the suburb.

The cop only identified as Sergeant Kwashirai and reportedly stationed at Police Protection Unit was allegedly challenged by a motorist who demanded that they go to the nearest police station for verification of the fine he had been charged prompting him and another officer to flee in their vehicle.
He was however arrested by members of the public after the duo’s vehicle was involved in an accident while fleeing the suspected illegal roadblock.
