Samuel Udenge, the Zanu-PF acting chairperson for Manicaland, said the ruling party is establishing a diamond cutting and polishing centre whose holding company is in the process of being registered.
Mutare City Council is in the process of securing a site for the project, Udenge told a provincial coordination committee meeting at Mutare Polytechnic on Monday.
“As a party we have decided to have a diamond cutting and polishing centre,” Udenge said.
He said the investment drive was necessitated by dwindling income.
