LOW-COST carrier, fastjet Zimbabwe, will increase flights on the Harare to Johannesburg route and will have two flights per day on Saturday from February 26.

In a notice yesterday, fastjet said it was increasing frequency between Harare and Johannesburg to make life easier for passengers.

“From February 26, you can take an early morning flight to Johannesburg, attend a business meeting and take our new flights back home at 9:15pm the same evening.
We’re initially rolling out this new frequency on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From February 28, we will be adding evening flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That means there will be two flights daily, with the exception of Saturday, where there will be a morning flight only,” the airline said.

The airline began flights on the Harare to Johannesburg route on February 1, with one flight per day, as part of its pan-African expansion. The airline is also set to launch the Victoria Falls-Johannesburg route once granted approval by Zimbabwean and South African authorities.

The low-cost airline also seeks to expand its reach in Southern and East African markets, within the first quarter of 2016 once approval is granted.
