Kunaka last week ditched Mujuru’s party and rejoined Zanu PF, accusing the opposition of being “directionless”.

But ZimPF Harare spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire said Kunaka was undergoing rehabilitation in ZimPF and his party would not force him to continue with the rehabilitation exercise designed to assist him heal from Zanu PF psychological abuse.

“Our president is on record saying that Zimbabwe People First has a department manned by experienced clergymen, which provides counselling services to both victims of political violence and its perpetrators, so they can be reintegrated back into society and, perhaps, mainstream politics,” he said yesterday.

Mawarire said Kunaka left ZimPF in frustration after the party’s security team frustrated his spying mission.

“If there is nothing happening in ZimPF, as Kunaka is quoted as saying, there is certainly one thing that he should acknowledge and it is that we have set up a diligent and effective security system that does not just allow spies easy access to those organs of the party responsible for our strategic planning.”
