THE Zanu PF Manicaland Women’s League has recommended Senator Monica Mutsvangwa to take over as provincial spokesperson following the ouster of Mutare South legislator Nyasha Chikwinya and four others on allegations of fanning factionalism and plotting President Robert Mugabe’s assassination.

The province’s Women’s League members also petitioned the politburo to recall national members Agatha Mgomba and Jane Knight Mabuto who were secretary for business and deputy secretary for education respectively.

The women recommended that Mgomba be replaced by Lucia Chitara, while Knight should be replaced by Letina Undenge.

They also recommended Dorothy Mabika to bounce back into the Central Committee.

Mabika was booted out last year on allegations that she connived to steal cattle donated for Mugabe’s 21st February birthday bash alongside former Manicaland provincial chairman Mike Madiro.
The two were later cleared by the courts and they accused party secretary of administration Didymus Mutasa of plotting against them.

Madiro has since bounced back into the Central Committee.

Meanwhile, the women have hastily filled vacant positions following the vote of no confidence against the Joyline Porusingazi-led executive.

Happiness Faith Nyakuedzwa is now the chair, deputised by Nokuthula Matsikenyere, while Chido Sanyatwe becomes the secretary for administration.
