President Mugabe has fired Macro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion Deputy Minister Monica Mutsvangwa from Government.
This followed her three-year suspension from Zanu-PF by the revolutionary party’s Politburo last week for gross misconduct and indiscipline.
Acting Secretary for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Mr Regis Chikowore confirmed the development yesterday.
“As far as I understand, Deputy Minister Monica Mutsvangwa was indeed served with a letter relieving her of her duties in Government at the weekend,” he said.
Cde Mutsvangwa was relieved of her duties at the same time her husband, Christopher Mutsvangwa.
Cde Mutsvangwa was Minister for the Welfare Services for War Veterans, War Collaborators, Former Political Detainees and Re- strictees.
Cde Chris Mutsvangwa, who is the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association chairman, was also given a three-year suspension by the Zanu-PF Politburo last Thursday.
He was suspended for gross misconduct and disloyalty.
The couple will not hold any positions in the party during their suspension, but will continue holding their parliamentary seats.
Cde Mutsvangwa is the Norton National Assembly representative while his wife is Senator for Manicaland.
When The Herald sought Cde Mutsvangwa’s comment over her dismissal, she said: “Ask the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr (Misheck) Sibanda.”
The Zanu-PF Women’s League passed a vote of no confidence on Cde Mutsvangwa as the league’s spokesperson last year for indiscipline.
This was after she participated in an illegal meeting that tried to overturn the ousting of Manicaland chairlady Cde Happiness Nyakuedzwa.
Cde Nyakuedzwa was kicked out for disrespecting the First Lady, Amai Grace Mugabe.
Amai Mugabe is also the Zanu-PF Secretary for Women Affairs.
On the other hand, Cde Chris Mutsvangwa was suspended after the Mashonaland West provincial executive last year recommended his expulsion, accusing him of insulting the First Family and undermining the authority of the President,
This followed his utterances in the media where he was quoted as saying: “We will always respect the institution of marriage and he (Cde Saviour Kasukuwere) is confused and conflating the institution of marriage and that of the State.”
His woes mounted when he tried to convene a meeting of war veterans without notifying the relevant authorities, including getting police clearance.
The freedom fighters, who gathered for the unsanctioned meeting, were dispersed by police using teargas and water cannons.
The development irked the patron of the war veterans, President Mugabe, who had no kind words for Cde Mutsvangwa.
Also suspended for three years was the Women’s League secretary for administration Cde Esphina Nhari, who had a vote of no confidence passed on her by the wing for chanting the slogan “Pasi NeG40” at a rally in Gutu last year.
Seven former youth provincial chairpersons were also expelled after some of them issued a Press statement insulting and denigrating the First Lady.
These are Godfrey Tsenengamu (Mashonaland Central), Godwin Gomwe (Harare), Vengai Musengi (Mashonaland West), Washington Nkomo (Matabeleland South), Khumbulani Mpofu (Bulawayo), Edmore Samambwa (Midlands) and Tamuka Nyoni (Matabeleland North).
Another seven youths leaders from associations aligned to Zanu-PF were also expelled from the party.

The ZIMPF virus is at it again,we read today from the Finatial Gazette that the lawyers who were in the Polit burea that there is no constitutional case against the accused. So what it means is that it is all to do with personal grages againt ex-combatants who are man and wife. The virus ca not stand facing the truth.
I observe with interest that you can not fight such a heated political battle without your own heir. The heir is protected by this banana kitchen mugoti nonsense and you only need to look EAST where the Zim Plane flies monthly. N Korea of course you will find something of interest, an attempt to copy and bring a FOREIGN culture onto the 14 Million people. Can Zimbabwe survive such chaos of a violent swimmer!
We have to remain calm as the virus causes mad cow disease in humans.How can one justify the FIRING of 14 youth leaders except that they are perceived to be politically a threat to this heir. I bet they will not tolerate such despotic imposition.

The link is from Rhodesia times. One wonders why the leaders of this shameful treachery has GAY GANGMASTERS among them in an African country which is being sanctioned by the West for her anti-gay positioning. Ex Combatants did you no wrong, in fact they sacrificed their lives and liberated you from slavery. You were on lookers then and now want to drive the country to the cliff of doomsday.

I cannot understand what the VaChihera Professor is on above. His attack seems to be against Mujuru and her new Party using ZIMPF as there name.
But then he is quoting the looting and the plain flying east every month – which is the preserve of Mugabe and his fellow-thieves.
The Zimbabwe of today is already on “the cliff of doomsday” with millions of starving people – nobody but the Mugabe gangsters are responsible for that. So what is meant that Zimbabweans must stand together to fight which menace? The Mugabe menace or what?

There are many ex combatants who did not register! Many successful ones. None can stomach this NONSENSE GOING ON. With each flight out the country looses usd3million dollars petty cash in the name of INSURANCE against unforseen emergency. one Bank Governor was fired for asking for the money bank in our bank.
