Ncube MDC slams Tsvangirai drunkards

via Ncube MDC slams Tsvangirai drunkards – NewZimbabwe 16 March 2015

THE MDC party led by Welshman Ncube has slammed the move by Morgan Tsvangirai to recall from Parliament “rebel” legislators saying the decision was tantamount to donating the seats to Zanu PF.

“The MDC-T’s recent attempts to recall 21 MDC Renewal (legislators) from Parliament is one of those incomprehensible decisions which can make sense only to a group of drunkards …

“ … given that the both MDC-T and MDC Renewal have resolved not to participate in any by- elections and that the question of which of the two formations is the legitimate MDC remains pending before our courts of law and is therefore sub judice,” the MDC said in a statement Monday.

Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda, is expected to rule Tuesday on the application by the MDC-T to have the Renewal Team legislators recalled.

The 21 legislators were part of the revolt against Morgan Tsvangirai’s leadership after the party’s disastrous performance in the 2013 elections.

They have since formed the rival Renewal Team group and are working to form a united party with Ncube who also ditched Tsvangirai during another split in 2005.

Ncube’s party said the recall bid was ill-conceived especially after the MDCs decided not to participate in any new polls until reforms are implemented to ensure credible elections.

“Politically, in an environment where following the theft of the 2013 elections,  democratic opposition parties have said that they will not participate in any by-elections it makes no sense for the MDC-T to seek the recall of any MPs since such would be tantamount to donating the seats to Zanu PF,” the MDC said.

Ruling Zanu PF party legislators have also backed calls by Tsvangirai for the ejection of the “rebel” MPs, a development Ncube’s party said shows “the sinister agendas that are now at play”.

“Is it not curious that Zanu PF has now joined the fray in Parliament on the side of Morgan Tsvangirai and demanding the expulsion of the Renewal MPs?

“The leadership of MDC-T must ask themselves why it is that Zanu PF is now fighting their case and cause in Parliament,” the MDC said.

The statement adds: We have always said that MDC-T are an extension of Zanu PF and this latest move proves this beyond doubt.

“We are shocked, but not entirely surprised that MDC-T would much rather work in the interests of Zanu PF than for justice and democracy in Zimbabwe.”

Why is it a number of so-called PROFESSORS in ZIMBABWE are a shade below the street-kids in grasping and articulating events in this country.

Also include PHDs….I have never seen a country so fascinated by Degrees, PHDs and Professorship and no output for national benefit.

You lose elections and not even get a seat to which blame MT for failure and still have the audacity to say the other party is drunk. Professor Can you not read and understand the people’s aspirations? Since 2005 you have not learnt, from your constant project failure including the Mutambara Experiment.

I think because most of them had a taste of power during the GNU, Mukanya. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

They have forgotten the common man. They have forgotten that personal power squabbles should not be the focus but that the economy should be the focus.

Also why are none of the 3 X MDC parties able to make coherent and inspirational speeches?

Ncube and his MDC are the drunks. MDC Renewal was not in existance in 2013. So how could the 21 former MPs have been voted into parliament on an MDC Renewal ticket? They pursued personal power and forgot to consider the implications of their actions fully. And we call them our MP? Let them go.

There is no need for Ncube to insult anybody. Its not MDC-T who created the law that says that if you cross floor or cease to be a member of the party on whose ticked you got into Parliament you lose the seat.

There will be by-elections and its up to the UMDC MPs to contest in those by-elections and regain their seats. They should have been preparing for this all this time.

Why do they want to sit in Parliament as MDC-T MPs when they are clearly not?

Its Ncube who now looks like a drunkard whatever that means.

Well said Solidarity – indeed the prof & Biti took leave of their senses a long time ago. Had that not been the case, as lawyers they should know better that its neither Tsvangi or anyone else, its the constitution. And all along they have been purporting to be fighting for a constitutional& democratic society. All & sundries were more than perturbed when Biti & Mudenda (with the guidance of zanu pf of course) decided to join hands in subverting the constitution. Little did Biti realized that zanu pf was going to dump him at the opportune time; and the time is now. Biti & co must live with it & stop barking the wrong tree. You cant be UMDC & MDC_T @ the same time – we all know becoz of Ncube & Biti – the two a oil & water they don’t mix. So, if one is no longer MDC_T having won a seat under the same party we all know what should happen. Constitution yakanyogwa nevanhu vakawanda including the ame lawyers who have now taken leave of their senses. Haina kunyogwa naTsvangi oga ba. Siyanayi naTsvangi mukazhane moga ikoko ku UMDC muchigwira masimba amusina.

      Nxaaaaa. Shaaaame!
