NEWLY appointed Vice Presidents, Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko have lined up celebration bashes which will commence today in Midlands and Bulawayo.

Sources close to the developments said Mphoko’s bash is on tonight amid calls by the former Zapu members that the new Vice president had crossed the floor when the 1987 Unity Accord was signed.

“Mphoko crossed the floor way back between 1980 and 1981 to join Zanu PF yet his post was reserved for those members who were in Zapu before the signing of the unity accord,’ said a former Zapu official.

“He is the wrong person to take up that post because he was already in government as a Zanu PF official,” the source said.

An invited guest said besides the set back Mphoko has arranged a bash from tonight (Friday) until tomorrow.

Last week President Robert Mugabe appointed his two deputies to replace the ousted former vice president Joice Mujuru and the late John Landa Nkomo who died in 2012.

In Midlands Mnangagwa’s bash will run from tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

Last week at his rural home in Zvishavane Mnangagwa said he will throw a real party at his Sherwood farm in Kwekwe.

“In Kwekwe people will eat and drink for days. No one will ask you to leave but you will eat and when you are tired you will find your way to your home,” Mnangagwa said last week.

A close Mnangagwa ally said preparations are at an advanced stage in Kwekwe as hangers on are busy slaughtering beasts in the Midlands province.

We have no choice except to say congratulations!

Another dawn of a new error! Long live Zimbabwe. Wish the 20000 souls of Matebeles could say something! Only God has a say here?
