Zimbabwe is the latest team to announce 15-man squad for the coming ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 jointly co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) have retained Elton Chigumbura as the captain despite losing all five ODIs against Bangladesh in November-December last year.

Off-break bowler Prosper Utseya has also been named in the squad after he was suspended last year due to suspect action. Senior batsman Hamilton Masakadza, who scored only one half-century on Bangladesh tour, also finds place in the squad and is all set to feature in his first World Cup.

Zimbabwe Cricket recently appointed Dav Whatmore as team’s coach for the World Cup and he was very optimistic about Zimbabwe’s progression in the mega event, “It’s very difficult to give a definitive target but we can say we can be as competitive as possible and our first target will be to reach the Super Eight, which would mean we need to win at least three games,” Also Read: ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Schedule: Complete Fixtures & Time Table of all Cricket World Cup 2015 Matches
