INTERNATIONAL business continues to warm up to Zimbabwe as three foreign business delegations from the Americas and Asia are in the country to scout and tie up investment projects in various sectors. The trade missions are coming from China, Canada and the US. To create a platform for the visiting investors to interact with the local business environment and players, the Ministry of Macro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion is organising a breakfast meeting to be held tomorrow at the Crown Plaza Monomotapa hotel.

New York Times Best-Selling author and chairman of Casey Research, Doug Casey, senior editor Nick Giambruno, chief video content officer Jonathan Roth also from Casey Research and Tommy Humphreys founder and chief executive officer of CEO.CA, Canada’s fastest growing investor community and app are in the country and will interact with the business community at the breakfast meeting.

The Chinese investors have expressed interest in the transport sector particularly the railway sub sector.

The Chinese delegation is expected to meet management of the National Railways of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo today. On Friday, they are scheduled to meet Transport and Infrastructural Development minister Joram Gumbo.

Mr Case widely writes and speaks on economics, investment markets and politics.

He is the author of Crisis Investing, a book on profiting from periods of economic turmoil, Strategic Investing, Totally Incorrect and Right on the Money which advocates liberty and free markets.

The team from Case Research has eyes on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, shuttered or inactive gold and/or platinum mining operations in need of capital investment, agriculture, real estate, diamond mining and local processing of raw diamonds in Harare and Mutare.

They are also interested in private businesses on sale, tourism opportunities in Harare, Mutare and potentially Victoria Falls.

Casey Research has nearly 400 000 subscribers including 100 000 paid. In May 2015 Casey research was in-part purchased by Stansberry research, the world’s largest financial publisher with over one million readers around the world. The two companies combined comprise the best-read financial advisory service globally.

Mr Humphreys is a 30-year-old entrepreneur and blogger from Vancouver, Canada. His CEO CA members include tens of thousands of CEOs, portfolio managers and investors from over 50 countries.

He is the founder and president of Pacific Website Company Inc, a consulting and holdings company founded in 2007, which built an elite list through the design and execution of websites, software applications and marketing campaigns for hundreds of finance companies globally.

His interests lie in information technology and internet, software, mobile related businesses and infrastructure. Mr Humphreys is also interested in shuttered or inactive mines or high-grade exploration projects in any major metal and graphite and lithium, diamond mining, exploration and local processing of raw diamonds in Harare or Mutare, the financial services industry and financial technology initiatives.

He is also targeting the best hotels, restaurants, sights and people to meet for a VIP trip to Zimbabwe (The CEO.CA Guide to Zimbabwe) and millennial entrepreneurs under 35 years old.

    What an opportune timing, 31st March D-Day for most companies whose business standings and operations are on the precipice of gloom.

    After bringing that investment, Mr Humphrey, request for a thorough explanation from a one vascilating dreadlocked minister on how feasible it is to cede 51%(Assuming you re to be duped to go ahead and bring your investment to this lawless place) when you have invested 100% in an already depleted economy!
