Rugare Gumbo also showed that Zapu frankness when he spoke in defence of VP Mujuru. “Mujuru is the vice president of Zimbabwe and deserves all the respect. She did not choose herself to be the VP but we elected her to that position … Most of the people who are opposing Mujuru are the same people of Tsholotsho Declaration and this is Tsholotsho Declaration number 2,” he said.
Grace holds no position in Zanu (PF). Any other citizen making similar utterances about the VP would certainly have been hauled into a dark prison cell at ZRP Central on charges of treason.
It is clear that there is a deliberate purge in progress, within Zanu (PF) targeting perceived Mujuru supporters. Mliswa was ousted, Kaukonde has been labelled a dirty old man who demands sex from junior party members and it would surprise no one to see the Zanu (PF) spokesman being shown the door.
