The Zimbabwean has doubled its readership from last year and has the highest number of online readers inside Zimbabwe of all weekly newspapers, according to the latest Zimbabwe All Media and Products Survey (Zamps).

The survey, conducted through 4,000 personal interviews nation-wide, indicates that The Zimbabwean website is read by 18 percent of the population. The site complements the weekly print edition that is distributed throughout Zimbabwe as well as in South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana and the UK.

According to Zamps, The Zimbabwean beat the Zimbabwe Independent, which had a 13 percent share of the online reading population, and the Standard, which claimed 12 percent. The Financial Gazette and the Daily News on Sunday trailed with 10 percent and seven percent of the total online readership, respectively.

    Abolish all tax and duty and impose a surtax on every litre of fuel sold and every cell call. Widen the net and make revenue collection effective and cheap. Cut govt spending. The goose is dead
