Robert Mugabe returned to Singapore for more medical treatment.
His spokesman George Charamba said Mugabe travelled to Singapore for a “routine eye check-up” which involves cataract procedure which he underwent in February.
“His Excellency the President, left Harare this afternoon on a week-long private visit to that country,” Charamba’s statement said.
“During his visit President Mugabe will undergo a routine eye check-up following a recent procedure on the same.
“The President was seen off at the Harare International Airport by the honourbale vice president Cde Joice T.R. Mujuru; senior minister in the office of the President and cabinet, ambassador Simon Khaya-Moyo; honourable minister of information, media and broadcasting services Prof Jonathan Moyo; chief secretary to the President and cabinet, Dr JM Sibanda; Miriam Chikukwa, Harare minister of State, service chiefs and other senior government officials.”
