via Break-in at Mnangagwa’s offices – Nehanda Radio Sep 25 2014
Burglars broke into the offices of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa at the New Government Complex on Tuesday night.
The break-in was discovered yesterday morning and police investigators flocked to the building, some with sniffer dogs, to investigate what exactly transpired.
Minister Mnangagwa referred all questions to his permanent secretary, Mrs Virginia Mabhiza, who confirmed the break-in.
“It is true that there was a break-in,” she said.
“There is evidence of an intrusion in the office of the minister. The door was tampered with and we quickly made a report to the police.”
Mrs Mabhiza said a clear picture of what transpired would come out at the end of police investigations.
“The police are now handling the matter and we will hear from them,” she said.
The ministry made a report at Harare Central Police Station under reference number IR091404.
Police chief spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed receiving the report, saying investigations were underway.
“I can confirm that we received a report of suspected unlawful entry into the office of the minister,” she said.
“Police attended the scene and investigations have since been launched.”
The incident comes three weeks after people broke into the chambers of Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku at the Supreme Court and stole a desktop computer and a television set.
Judicial Service Commission secretary Justice Rita Makarau on September 1 issued a press statement announcing the incident.
Police are still investigating the break-in and theft at the Supreme Court.
A few days after the break-in at the Supreme Court, four judges reportedly lost keys to their offices, a development that prompted the JSC to urgently request police security at Mashonganyika Building which houses the Supreme and the Constitutional courts. The Herald

This is a ploy, I think Mnangagwa is trying to cover something. He should know what happened at the Chief Justice, this is a way to divert investigation. The idea is to let people think break in are rampant at Government offices. Him Mnangagwa should be the first suspect, for making a false report. This was a pre-arranged thing, just only to blame the Mujuru camp.
I guess its a dirty trick being played by Zanu PF in its war of succession and economy. The succession battle being a guise by the victim to potray and envoke sympathy. Economy trying to divert people’s attention on the bad being done to the economy by raising trivial issues creating news so peple forget about issues of economic downfall. Similar to police bombing their on head office. Or Zanu PF killing Cain NKala and bury him at Heroes Acre and then blame MDC after NKala threatens to expose some bad issues of Zanu PF. Diverted the attention by murdering their on. Who was sentenced in that case none. But it saved the purpose.

Burglars my foot. this is a complex with all manner of security around it. Im sure there are Police detailed to man security too. If anyone got in, it was because someone let them in. Mnangagwa could have staged it FOR WHATEVER REASON. or maybe his enemies in the other faction broke in.
Wouldnt it be fantastic if they just get it over with and kill each other. These games are getting a bit tiresome and childish.
