HARARE – Ex-war veterans leader Jabulani Sibanda remains in police custody with sources saying he is likely to appear in court tomorrow facing charges of undermining the authority of the President.

Sibanda’s lawyer, Sobuza Gula Ndebele declined to give details of the whereabouts of the firebrand war veteran, who was arrested on Friday.

“I am not at liberty to say where he is because I have no authority from my client,” he said.

People linked to embattled Vice President Joice Mujuru are living in perpetual fear as reports indicate that more of those close to the vice president have been placed on a hit list to be targeted for persecution.

Online publications reported yesterday that Sibanda was detained in Harare and that his family was allowed to visit him.

Sibanda was arrested at his Kenellys Farm in Nyamandlovu by plain clothes officers who were reportedly dispatched from Harare.

The former liberation war veterans’ leader was  bundled into a police van in front of his family members and driven to Harare where he was detained at an undisclosed police station.

“I can confirm that we were allowed to see Sibanda today and he is in high spirits,” a war veteran and a friend of Sibanda was quoted saying by online publications.

Sibanda, according to the State-controlled publications was arrested under the Criminal Codification Act for his utterances of a bedroom coup in the First Family’s house.

Mugabe hates people who speak the truth thats why he is persecuting Mujuru, Ndlovu, Gumbo and co but i also need to remind the oldman that leadership is not sexual tramitted as he thinks that Grace being his wife for years mean that she now has what it takes to lead zimbabwe. Grace is a typist and crossboarder trader and that will not change. You can take a man from the ghetto but you cant take the ghetto out of the man.

So sad. When Sibanda offended millions of our people he wasn’t arrested instead afforded free reign hoping from one province to the other smithering innocent and unsuspecting rural folks. One word against the Emperror, ‘bedroom coup’ he is locked. Zimbabwe has one citizen, senior occupant indeed.

In an unrelated opinion, i am begining to doudt if zanu’s electoral victory is reliant on one man one vote for they wouldn’t be purging their members at this rate. Sad the more hungry looters are setting shop.

@Msizeni silwelani, Zanu PF does not need the votes of anybody, they are a minority party that rule by bending the rules. As of now I think they have the 2018 elections results already made up and all they need now is put some names from other parties and announce.

People will then complain and hiss and puff but it will come to nothing unless we all stand up be counted and refuse to be ruled by this cabal whose only claim to fame is a war that happened more than 30 years ago and with no relevance now given how they have abused that same war to advance corruption in every sector of the economy resulting in the economy being brought down to its knees.

As for Sibanda, he terrorised the villagers around the country and nothing happened to him as he claimed he was above the law. Now he should be charged with the crimes committed then and that will teach him a real lesson. More than ten charges could be brought from Masvingo alone.

ZanuPF was never legitimate since 1980. Our Father Zimbabwe Joshua Nkomo cried when Robert was elected knowing full well the eventual outcome. One man one vote. For sure?

But I thought that Jabulani was peace maker and a loving father like Mugabe?

Elections in Zim are a waste of resources(time an money). Its all vanity. Let just declare Zimbabwe a kingdom and we all be fine. No love lost. Coz those who are in control of the system are in favour of this status Quo. U can not tell me one man is in all ministries and departments. Its a system. Its an animal which is all over poisonous, not the head only. Its some of us.umsenzi kakhalelwa. Zimbabwe is the only looser.

Keep the evil little s..t locked up. I feel feathers….he was never a war vet anyway. Probably just a message runner. What comes round goes round and they should all think carefully about their next move.

It is good that this is happening. I don’t think anyone can trust anyone any more in their ranks. There is still more to come. CIO, ZRP and others will soon be weeded out. This is definitely going to end badly for these thugs. Moyo thinks he is safe. All those that supped with the devil will get what’s coming to them.

long may it continue after all the carnage he caused. Scum like him deserve no less how it would have been better if he was incarcerated for his actions in the early 2000’s not speaking the truth.
