Zimbabweans not suffering, Mugabe

via Zimbabweans not suffering, Mugabe – New Zimbabwe 22/08/2015

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe claimed Friday that no Zimbabwean was suffering as he revealed his row with liberation hero and former defence force chief, Solomon Mujuru, who was killed when an unexplained fire razed his farm house in 2011.

Mugabe’s remarks during an address to the Zanu PF women’s league meeting in Harare raise new questions about Mujuru’s death and the veteran leader’s sincerity when mourning his passing.

When burying the war hero at the Heroes Acre in Harare, Mugabe claimed to have been “devastated” by guerrilla commander’s still unexplained death.

However, on Friday the Zanu PF leader revealed that Mujuru wanted to oust him after deciding that his policies were destroying the country and that people could not “suffer because of one man”.

According to Mugabe, Mujuru then plotted with former Zanu PF politburo member Simba Makoni and academic and publisher Ibbo Mandaza to find a new leader for the ruling party.

“These three among others Mujuru, Makoni and Mandaza said Zanu PF was being held back by Mugabe who continues to stick to Socialism,” said Mugabe.

“They claimed this was inhibiting investment. Mujuru then concluded that the country cannot be held back by one person, people cannot suffer because of one man.”

Zimbabwe has struggled with a serious economic crisis which started nearly 15 years ago resulting in industries shutting down and unemployment reaching more than 80 per cent.

Most Zimbabweans are now surviving on vending but Mugabe said Friday that he did not agree with Mujuru’s view that people were suffering.

“But what is it that the people are suffering from? Isn’t we gave them land?” said the 91-year-old leader.

Mugabe claims his land reforms which saw about 4,000 white farmers kicked out resulted in hundreds of thousands of black Zimbabweans getting land.

Critics however say the chaotic and often violent land seizures precipitated the collapse of the country’s agriculture-based economy.

Mugabe told the women’s league that the plot by Mujuru, Makoni and Mandaza resulted in his defeat by Morgan Tsvangirai in the first round of the 2008 presidential ballot.

General Mujuru’s wife, Joice, has since been ousted as vice president of both the party and government.

She was accused of plotting anew to remove Mugabe, charges she denies.

Scores of senior party leaders and government ministers were also dismissed with the then vice president over the alleged coup plot.

Insane, Delusional and senile he may well be. Evil, corrupt and a liar certainly.
Despite these fine qualities the ululating, dancing, chanting and finely educated masses will vote for him again and again. All it takes is the promise of a coke and a T shirt. Then there will be cries of electoral fraud from you know who which will go on for a few weeks. Then, everyone will go home as they are too scared to do anything despite having nothing! Then the cycle will be repeated by Africas finest.

So the murder of Solomon Mujuru is confirmed as another act of state violence against opponents to Mugabe’s dictatorship. This man must be crazy – no sane man will come up with the explanations and admissions he came up with. Remember the fact that he admitted he only got 27% of the votes in 2008.

Why he is still in power is a mystery to all people. Cruel and remorselessly exploiting his own people. He gave “land” to his people – but they cannot eat land and had no resources to utilize the land properly, since the land he gave them effectively is not theirs and can be taken away from them by him and his cronies.

Meantime he kept the best land for himself, his family and his cronies. But people are not suffering with a 90% unemployment rate and the country becoming the second poorest in Africa.

People talk about revolution – but there is no sign that the masses will revolt against the dictatorship – all is just talk. The opposition to him is fractured and ineffective and is useless as an alternative.

How long can this go on?

The 1924 Bedford makes so much noise, unsoundly noise. Puffs smoke, pungent and highly polluting it is.

Blocks the runway and makes it impossible for Lamborghinis to blaze past. What do you do to such a demented truck? This is Zimbabwe’s sad reality. The military is abating this Bedford truck and forsaking their own children’s future in the process.

I have said this before everything of the sort of thing that happened to Mujuru Mugabe will be having full knowledge.

Now he is beginning to explain the background, lets hope he reveals exactly what happened soon.

This is a brutal dictator who will not stop at anything esp. if he feels its threatening his power and money.
