Zanu PF supporters invade Dabengwa’s farm

Zanu PF supporters on Tuesday invaded for the second time in two weeks ZAPU leader, Dumiso Dabengwa’s Rudy farm in Nyamandlovu.

ZAPU spokesperson Mjobisa Noko told The Zimbabwean that a group of Zanu PF supporters, clad in party regalia, descended on the farm on Tuesday and started allocating themselves portions of land.

“As ZAPU, we are very disappointed with this development, especially as the invasions have coincided with heroes’ day celebrations. We view this as an attempt to ridicule the role played by Cde Dabengwa and his ZIPRA colleagues in the fight against colonial rule. This is persecution of Zapu leaders “said Noko.

Noko said what is even more painful and worrying is that Dabengwa bought the farm using his own resources way before the start of the chaotic land redistribution programme which saw scores of white farmers disposed of their land.

“Cde Dabengwa never benefitted from the land reform programme. He bought that farm using his own resources” he said.

Two weeks ago, a group of Zanu PF activists invaded the property but the invaders withdrew from the farm following the intervention of the police and Zanu PF senior leaders in the province. The invasion of the farm comes in the wake of country-wide invasions of black owned farms by Zanu PF activists.

I have always sated that the farm invasions were never about redistributing land to the landless blacks. These are all about politics. This is why they will never end!

I feel nothing for dabengwa , what makes him so special when there are over 4 million people black and white unemployed because of a war 34 years ago and it took them 20 years to realise it , dabengwa needs to go to court to resolve this land case and let the party begin cause if he where white it would defiantly be another story just like Connolly last week in Marula

While he was commander of Zipra during the war, one would have expected that Dabengwa would have known how to solicit assistance from democratic countries for arms and other logistic support. Go outside and start looking for help. Crying won’t help us. Now is the time to start showing Zanu that they can’t back a cake and eat it. Let us go back to the bush and start fighting these people. Zimbabwe belongs to all of us. It is not a Zanu private property were we are told that Mugabe must choose a successor. The people of Zimbabwe still retain that right to chose a leader of their own choice.

These invasions prove the gimmickry of land redistribution. ZPF you are your own economic enemy. What about ZIMASSET? Is this what it means? Confusion at its best.

That’s Mugabe for u Mr Dabengwa. The same guy u fought teeth and nail in 2008 presidential elections to ensure he remains in office, as per you own proclamations after the elections.

Your supporters will blindly jump to your defensive as usual. But its well documented that soon after Zanu pf had successfully rigged elections against Tsangson to deny him a 50% +1 win you where all over the moon proclaiming that the Makoni-Dabengwa strategy had achieved its goal of denying the MDC_T complete victory, put bluntly ‘of keeping Mugabe in office’. So, yes Mugabe remains in office, and you farm is invaded by his supporters – with his blessing of course for nothing happens in zanu pf without his directive.

Dabengwa’s history does not stretch as short as your memory is that only goes as far as your darling Tswangirayi and his MDC-T. It goes way before you were born. This is why you seem not to know what you are talking about!!

Unlike the poor commercial farmers I ask where are Dabengwa’s supporters to push these invaders off his property? Where is that Matabele courage we always hear about?
