Presidential mistruths

via Presidential mistruths | The Zimbabwean 22 July 2014 by Jera

Zimbabwe’s economy is improving – that is if you believe President Mugabe. Of course Zimbabweans have recently learned that you only believe him if you are the sort of person who believes that the world is square. Or that the sun is a big light bulb.

Twelve months ago, Mugabe stretched the truth a little, a lot, okay he lied, when he claimed Zanu (PF) would create 2,2 million jobs between 2013 and 2018. Fourteen years ago, to explain the fuel shortage of 2000, Mugabe’s party said Britain had waylaid petroleum-laden marine vessels that were bound for Zimbabwe – you know, like pirates with hooked arms, peg legs, eye-patches and parrots on the shoulder.

His government has also claimed for 14 years that “sanctions” had ruined the economy, even though one could easily identify corruption and ministerial cluelessness as the reason for economic failure. Mugabe’s deputy, Joice Mujuru, blamed the drought from decades ago for the maize shortage of 2013.

The man is liar, cheat crook and basically a thug in his approach to things and hides behind his sweet English talk.

He tells us that the land reform was triggered because Tony Blair did not honour up to their commitment to finance the resettlement, yet the obvious truth it was triggered by the panic that followed the resounding No vote to 2000 Constitutional changes.

It is sad many buffoons believe him.

I do not how times he has told us that he will step down after …..”finishing resettlement”, “empowering my people”, “winning and Mai Mujuru will take over”….and stupid Zimbos ululate as the man takes the nation into dark ages.

Mugabe uses ignorance to fool people into believing he is some kind of savior whose main objective is to liberate people & provide them with land on which crops just grow miraculously & milk & honey flows out of the earth. The reality is him & his cronies are milking the country dry & leaving all of us to suffer, including his so called supporters. His Chinese friends are right behind him, picking up every little bit of leftovers they can get their hands on & our country will be left completely barren & worthless!

Mugabe does not live in the real world, he doesn’t even have a clue what it is like. On that basis he makes all these flawed judgements when reality is far from what he is saying.

Unfortunately in order to solve problems you must first acknowledge that there is a problem but with Mugabe that will not happen because he thinks everything is ‘suus totus bonus’.
