ZANU PF’s former youth leader, Magura Charumbira, who is alleged to have led a group of party youths that booed First Lady Grace Mugabe during an interface rally at White City Stadium in Bulawayo a fortnight ago, was yesterday granted $100 bail and remanded to November 24 by magistrate Sharon Rosemani.

As part of his bail conditions, Charumbira was ordered to report three times a week at Bulawayo Central Police’s Law and Order Section and remain within a 60km radius of the city until finalisation of his case.
He was also ordered not to attend the anticipated Presidential youth interface rally in Harare at the weekend.
On Tuesday, Charumbira’s application for bail was opposed by the State which feared that he could abscond or engage in other politically-related criminal activities.
Charumbira is alleged to have led a group of Zanu PF youths in Bulawayo to boo Grace during an interface rally held at the White City Stadium on November 4.
