Ray Nkosi | President Emmerson Mnangagwa in his State Of The Nation (SONA) address has warned that there will be no sacred cows in the fight against corruption.

The warning comes as Zimbabweans are putting the President under more and more pressure to deal with the “criminals around him” and those who were not netted in during “Operation Restore legacy” under which a number of G-40 members were arrested for corruption.

Said Mnangagwa: “The goal of my gvt is to build a new Zimbabwe based on transparency, accountability and hardwork ‘every case of corruption shld investigated there shld be no sacred cows”

“My govt will be based on crown values of honesty, transparency and hard work. Every corrupt case must be investigated and punished accordingly. No sacred cows. It has already begun,” Mnangagwa told Parliamentarians this afternoon.

Mnangagwa also warned ministers to be honest and accountable to the public, saying Government is determined to remove any policy inconsistency so as to attract investors. He says Government is committed to open Zimbabwe to investors.
