By Langton Ncube| Socialite and porn-star, Pokello Nare has been sucked into the former Finance minister Ignatius Chombo’s corruption cases.
Chombo is in remand prison on charges of fraud, criminal abuse of office and contravening the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The state is alleging that the former minister applied for capital expenditure loans purportedly for agriculture equipment but diverted the money for personal use which included the purchase of Pokelo’s high-end truck.
“A Toyota Hilux Vigo black in colour engine number 1KD 9340021 chassis number MROFZ229GX01516518 was imported and supplied in the name of Pokello Nare of 222 Samora Machel Avenue in Harare,” reads part of Chombo’s charge sheet.
The former Finance minister is married to Pokello’s mother.
