Zimbabwe’s economic crisis was high on the agenda at the ruling party ZANU-PF’s annual conference.

Zimbabwe‘s economy is going through its worst crisis in a decade, but President Emmerson Mnangagwa has promised to turn it around as he seeks to retain the power for another term.

Mnangagwa’s pledge came as he addressed thousands of supporters at the ruling party ZANU-PF‘s annual conference on Saturday. He was endorsed by the party to run for a second five-year term.

Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from Esigodini.

There is nothing Zanu PF leaders would ever say they cannot do. Mnangagwa can claim to revive the economy but doing it in practice will be another matter!
