Harare -Three men and three women politicians have so far filed their nomination papers for the presidential elections due to be held next month.
The three men are president Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zanu (pf), Nelson Chamisa of the MDC Alliance and Noah Manyika of Build Zimbabwe party. The women politicians are Joyce Mujuru of the National People’s Party, Thokozani Khupe of the break-away MDC t and independent candidate, Violet Mariyacha.
The elections are due to be held on July 30. Nomination courts are sitting in the major cities and towns to accept the papers for aspiring candidates for president, the house of assembly, the senate as well as municipal and rural council elections.
There are about 130 political parties in Zimbabwe that have shown an interest in contesting the elections.
Other presidential aspirants are expected to file their nomination papers later today.
