Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku today ruled that the case in which expelled Bikita West National Assembly member Dr Munyaradzi Kereke is seeking to nullify his expulsion from the House of Assembly should be treated as an urgent matter.

The Chief Justice made the ruling after the parties involved agreed that the case was indeed urgent and the registrar of the Constitutional Court has set the main case down for hearing on Wednesday.

Advocate Fred Gijima of FG Gijima and partners represented Zanu-PF while Magaya-Mandizvidza law firm acted for Dr Kereke.

Mr Tawanda Kanengoni and Mr Charles Nyika of Kanengoni and Nyika law firm are representing the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

The court also gave the respondents up to Friday to file their opposing papers.

On Monday midday Dr Kereke is expected to file his answering affidavit as well as heads of argument.

The respondents will file their heads of argument by Tuesday midday, a day before the main hearing before the nine-member bench.

If you go against the Don no court will support you not that the Don will be right but because that’s what the Don wants. What’s the difference between The Don and Chidyausiku? Kereke has just applied for the final nail in his coffin, “Come into my parlour.” said the spider. Remember one Tsvangirai with his election petition, he remembered too late that he had been tricked into the spider web, he tried pulling out but Chidyausiku would have non of that.Kereke should just stand as an independent and not waste money going to circus they call court.
