Plot to block MDC-T spokesperson from visiting the UK

via Bulawayo24 NEWS | Plot to block MDC-T spokesperson from visiting the UK  12 October 2013

There is a plot to block MDC-T spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora from visiting the UK because the visit has not been sanctioned by Harvest House, Zimeye reported.

Mwonzora is scheduled to attend for the first time an MDC-T meeting to be held in the prestigious town of Oxford, UK, on the 2nd November accompanied by Bulawayo East MP Thabitha Khumalo.

But the party’s UK chairman, Tonderai Samanyanga has attempted ways of frustrating the organisers of the trip who are based in Oxford, party cadres have alleged.

It is alleged that Samanyanga claimed that Mwonzora’s visit has not been sanctioned by Harvest House.

It is alleged that Samanyanga opposed the move by also arranging a counter meeting in Manchester within 7 days of the trip.

However in response Samanyanga refuted the allegations saying the Manchester provincial meeting had been arranged several months before.

Meanwhile despite the oposition, both Thabitha Khumalo and Douglas Mwonzora have confirmed they are on the way to Oxford and will be arriving on the 1st November.

Samanyanga has imposed sanctions on Mwonzora? Why holding a meeting in the UK and not home when the Party is cash-strapped?
