A DINNER to raise money to fund Zanu- PF’s 15th annual national people’s conference is expected to be held next month at Rainbow Towers.
Vice President and Zanu-PF second secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa, will be the guest of honour.
Zanu-PF National Fundraising Dinner 2015 co-ordinator, Cde Jerriphanos Jaya, yesterday said the fundraising team was approaching corporates and well-wishers to contribute towards the successful hosting of the conference scheduled for Victoria Falls between December 7 and 13.
Cde Jaya said everyone was welcome to the dinner.
“We are inviting corporates and people from various sectors in the country. Anyone from Government officials, corporates, marketing personnel and community leaders can attend and we have different tables all accommodating 10 people,”he said.
A platinum table costs $100 000 while gold goes for $50 000.
A silver and bronze table cost $30 000 and $10 000 respectively. Cde Jaya appealed to everyone to come in their numbers to the dinner and support the party. The police band will provide entertainment.
Over 6000 delegates are expected to attend the conference.
Recently the party’s national secretary for the commissariat, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere, said $3 million was needed to fund the conference.

This Zanu-PF party ideology of keeping a blind eye to the needs and suffering of Zimbabwean people in favour of its elite not only stinks but is about to be judged by God. HOW CAN zanu-pf be considering raising $3million to fund a party conference amidst the cries of the people of Zimbabwe for basic commodities like food, electricity and water? Is zanu-pf not the governing party in Zimbabwe? What is going on? What in the world is going on? People in are forgotten and are dying in their homes and in Zimbabwe’s filthy prisons for lack of basic things whilst the leadership continues as if it is immune to the needs of the land. What on earth is going on???
And what good may come from such a dinner and conference based on the previous results from this party of misrule – over the last 35 years? This looks like a gravy train running out of juice.
Police band at a party function? And you complain about the army fellow being partisan in saying Joice Teurayi Ropa Mujuru will be crushed by the army? ZANU has simply reduced state agents to organs of ZANU. Cry the beloved country.
