JUST IN: President warns against corruptionPresident Mnangagwa addresses a Politburo meeting at Zanu PF Headquarters in Harare today

Joseph Madzimure Senior Reporter

ZANU PF First Secretary and President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has warned senior party members against engaging in corrupt activities saying the fight against corruption both in the party and in the country at large continues unabated.

Speaking at the 345 session of the Politburo this afternoon, President Mnangagwa said gone are the days when members hide behind their status and abuse the name of the party to engage in corruption.
“Zanu PF and this administration will never allow the party to be a haven of malcontents and criminals.

“I thus exhort party cadres and the citizenry at all levels inline with our national development agenda to be guarantors of a corrupt free Zimbabwe. Report all cases of corruption to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and the Zimbabwe Republic Police,” he said.

Do you really mean it Mr President?, if you are serious, then former Health Minister Obadiah Moyo will not get your protection regarding his pending criminal court case, only then can people to some extent believe what you say. Let’s wait and see!!!

The president expects us to chew meat that has lost its flavour.

Those judges and prosecutors all form a “Fifth Column” to do Mnangagwa’s bidding.  He doesn’t have to pick up his phone and provide them instructions… they already know what he would want them to do without hearing it from him.  That provides security for ZANUPF officials charged with corruption, plus allows Mnangagwa deniability and cover in the matter.  The justice system is hopelessly compromised.

I too can’t wait to see the outcome. After all we have been waiting over 40 years for anything to happen.
