President Mugabe says the last White Zimbabweans must leave and I say I want more Whites to come and clean President Mugabe’s mistakes in Zimbabwe.
Colonial Whites were very bad behaved but that era has passed.
I praise President Mugabe for fighting Colonialism but, today as I write, I wish President Mugabe had not succeeded in winning Independence.
President Mugabe and his favoured lot are the only ones who benefitted from Independence. President Mugabe and his select few, of which I am excluded, have big expensive houses. They all have newer and beautiful wives. Their money is counted in millions. They have many farms and many slaves.
President Mugabe and his rich select few do not need Whites in Zimbabwe. I understand why they do not need Whites but since we are all Zimbabweans, I also have a view. I want Whites in Zimbabwe. I do not choose to want Whites to come and take over because I have short memory of how Whites used to mistreat us. I am forced by hunger, poverty and the shame my country has become under our rich and insensitive Black rulers.
I wake up in the morning to buy a newspaper to find a job, instead of job adverts, I find headlines about my rich President demanding the sacking of Whites. Rich Blacks are not looking for work. President Mugabe and his armed lot do not need a Whiteman who provides jobs. Rich Blacks use their money to laugh at power Blacks whereas rich Whites use their money to employ poor Blacks. Contrasting between the two, I am left with no conclusion but to go against the Independence which means poverty and joblessness to me and mega-wealth to Mugabe and his best favourites.
If a single White British man makes a mistake of contesting elections in 2018, he will laugh until he is taken to hospital because he will get 90% vote from people like me. We have had enough of Mugabe bringing in Chinese who pay slave wages and only employ Zanu-PF people.
President Mugabe can never win an election against a White contester in Zimbabwe.

Next time a person of mixed race or white stands for an election,the misguided and naive voters of our beautiful country will forget tribal and petty racial issues for the good of our country.These are the early results of biting economic realities.You cannot cheat economy with cheap politics.
Rakanga Danble you are a real dreamer. It is your democratic right to dream as long as you like. You can translate your dream into reality by forming your own whites-only political party. But remember politics is a game of numbers and also remember majority Zimbabweans are black. Zimbabweans are a multiracial society with blacks as a huge majority. You are on a lone journey sloppy. If you are bored by Zpf and Mdc look around, you will find a good substitute.

Mark Longhurst, we concentrated on removing whites from our land and we succeeded. Your wish for people to concentrate on removing zanu pf from power is just but wishful thinking which will never materialise. You see, whites are the most corrupt lot our country has ever seen. They looted our minerals for one hundred years and enriched their keith and kin in Europe whilst empoverishing our people in the process. We need another one hundred years to recover from whites’ exploitation and racism. You had Smith who openly declared that Africans were beneath animals. Your Van der Byles and the rest of Smith cabinet were racists and exploiters. Why should whites complain about being told to go home to Europe? Surely that is where they belong and anywhere else they are, like in our Zimbabwe, they are a menece which no one wants.

I do understand your frustrations but it doesn’t necessarily mean that whites are better than us. We are just unfortunate to have a greedy black lot who do not care a hoot about fellow citizens. There are good and bad whites just as there are good and bad blacks. Unfortunately we are endowed with the later black type. Imagine a person like Strive Masiyiwa contesting the 2018 elections. I would vote for him ahead of all whites put together!
I will vote for Strive Masiyiwa. Only danger about him is that we do not know if he can stand up to these street smart, vicious Zanu PF politicians.
Remember when Ross Perot ran for president in the USA…The seasoned politicians hammered him.
But people like Musiyiwa, and anyone that is a good honest business man, should be the hero’s of this country. Definitely not this band of criminals we have in charge here now.

You know what Rakanga, you have all been brain washed by Zanupf in believing whites were all bad in colonial times. I never hear Zambians, Malawians, Kenyans etc complaining as much as Zimbabweans. Zimbabweans are at last waking up to the idea that whites can add an enormous amount to the GDP and hence the economy of the country since ZPF have destroyed it. There are many in the diaspora who would willingly return to help achieve a better Zimbabwe, create employment etc.
Realist I agree with what you say but I don’t agree with your choice of Strive Masiyiwa as a presidential material not even as Minister of telecommunications.
I have always stated that I would vote for the best possible option available at the time. I don’t care what colour he or she is. I have already voted for a white candidate in my constituency in the past when MDC were still all together. It is 34 years down the line and we still speak colour and tribe. President Mugabe is known to contradict himself when addressing his supporters.

I honestly think that if a Zimbabwean patriotic white was to throw his hat for presidential elections, that person would get a huge amount of voters. Certainly that person will get substantial seats in parliament. Its a pity that Zimbabwean whites are not as South African whites who are both patriotic and courageous to participate politically.
I think like the rest of us in Zimbabwe the whites have allowed themselves to become browbeaten by ZPF. We all need to stand up and say zvakwana!
the main difference between South African ‘whites’ and Zimbabwean ‘whites’ is that the South African ones are still considered to be citizens whereas the Zimbabwean ones are considered foreigners by Zanu Pf.The whites in South African and their collegues still invest because they know that when they wake up tomorrow they will still own their property whereas in Zim you might wake up to find some guy ane demo padoor asking you to put on your shoes and leave everything else.

I don’t think anyone here is talking about a white president. Just a few whites in government departments who know what they are talking about, are not looking to enrich themselves and genuinely CARE about our country and its people, and who are not afraid to call a spade a spade.
Like what was suggested my Vince Musewe a couple of months ago Zimbabweans need to identify certain capable individuals that would be able to ‘LEAD’ the country and individuals capable of running the various Ministries and implementing proper governing clear and understandable policies no matter how simple or complicated their background, whether they Black, White, Mixed Race or other! Not to vote for parties as they have an agenda which as we have found out as Citizens has nothing to do with us or governing our country.

This in an interesting article that highlights the many things that have been given a bad name by Robert Mugabe.
Among the things to be given a bad name by Mugabe are black leadership, education, war veterans, Zimbabwe, Zimbabweans and the list goes on and on.
Mugabe has helped portray a bad image of black leadership to such an extent that some people don’t believe in it anymore. Given what has happened in the last 34 years you cannot blame them.
To make matters worse the leaders he himself has chosen to serve under him have not performed any better helping to plunder the country and bring its economy down to its knees.
Having said that the issue of leadership has absolutely nothing to do with skin colour or other like variables but has to do with people without an attitude to serve and who are accountable to the electorate and who are prepared to admit wrong when they have taken the wrong decisions are honest, consistent, can delegate and are open to change etc. Unfortunately these attributes and others cannot be found in the current crop of people who masquerade as leaders in Zimbabwe and hence this kind of article.

The writer does not have to wish for more whites to come to Zimbabwe for they are available in their millions where they live, in Europe. He may as well go there and live among them and be treated like a dog.
If I believed I would survive the week, I would go back and be run for office. I’ve got some skills, I’ve lived in both Mashonaland and Matabeleland, whilest not good, generally I can understand both laungagues and I would learn them. BUT, being white and male, I pose a threat to power as I would ensure that only hard work on honesty paid off.

NBS on another part of this forum I spoke about the Vengeful monster Zanu pf is. The Bennett story has only one chapter. Roy floored Patrick so if he returns Chinamasa will just look for an excuse to lock him up again as you seen when he returned.The whole opposition saga was based on separation as well.Bennett being popular amongst black voters and even beating the Zanu candidate unknowingly played into Zanu’s hands by the decking of Chinamasa. They knew that the opposition would be weakened without him there.Then MDC was infiltrated. Like lambs to the slaughter the fell for all the bait that was laid down for them, with the best catch for Zanu being the bait of GNU. It was swallowed hook line and sinker by the opposition. Look where it got them.
No sane white person will ever comtemplate a position of public service (remember that phrase?)whilst ZANU PF rule.

Ive worked out that the land issue and taking over businesses is not about empowerment. Its very simply that where non ZPF employers organised medium to large farms or businesses these (in the main) became organised structures with relative stability. In this environment for one reason or another the communities/ workforce/ participants started to crave stability, growth and a better future etc. This lead them to support MDC. That is why the economy is smashed down and will stay smashed down, but with side deals made where large amounts are syphoned into accounts for the ruling elite.

Yes it is through the brain washing by mugabage that people 34 years later still think the whites are responsible for any ills that bedevil them. Yet all they inherited was an economy where our currency was equal to the pound. All the whites want is a good stable country with a sound economy. Yes racism from both sides has been a problem but from whites it’s because of disenfranchisement by Mugabage and the corrupt elite. Given the chance the general population would work together for the benefit of the country and why wouldn’t they. They are the ones to benefit
