UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is gravely concerned about reports of the forced return of a Zimbabwean asylum-seeker by Zambia to his country of origin.

A senior Zimbabwean politician expressed the intention to seek asylum in Zambia at the border yesterday. It is reported that the authorities handed him over to his country of origin today despite a court order to the contrary.

Refoulement or forcibly returning refugees and asylum-seekers to their country of origin is a serious violation of international refugee law. UNHCR calls on Zambia to investigate this reported incident urgently.

The action by Zambia is totally against international law and practice. If Zambia had a problem granting refugee status to Tendai Biti, they should have allowed him to seek for refuge in another country. The deportation to Zimbabwe is an attempt to intimidate the opposition.

The claim that Zimbabweans are safe is a fiction. People disappear and are never found. Just as in the Gukurahundi days. The report by SADC is not supported by the events on the ground. Why are V11 forms being followed up? Why are agents being harrassed and told to sign fresh V11 forms? Why are the lawyers that are working on the petition being harassed and trailed? Why were agents chased away from some polling stations? The interference will not work. Time has come for this country to be free. They may have guns but the people are more powerful than any weapons that can be pointed at the people. They tried to exterminate the Ndebele of parts of the Midlands and Matabeleland and failed. They may kill some but not all. The African SADC and AU have not helped our democracy. We have to fight this on our own. We have nothing to lose but our chains. We are people of the accursed world under ZANU. Freedom is coming tomorrow. Godisinit

Pages and pages of reports from UN described the cruel treatment of civilians in DRC by Mnangagwa and Chiwenga.

When are they going to be invited to the Internation Court at the Hague?

They cannot wash away the blood of unarmed, innocent people they killed in DRC nor Zimbabwe.

Their only friends are the Russians and Chinese. That speaks volumes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
