Good God what a disgrace.
But one thing it proves beyond any doubt is that ED is petrified of Hopewell Chin’ono. ED now must know that the pen is mightier than a sword.
So, his plan to give increased wages to his soldiers and police will be a waste of scarce money.
Agreed. The pen can be responsible for exposing truth. But, “the pen” is not always allowed. Prime example is North Korea. There, the people are continually force-fed lies, and truth is not allowed. To propagate truth is considered to be an offense against the Kim regime, and can carry a death sentence. Defectors tell of being convinced erroneously that NK was always on the verge of being attacked by the West… because that’s what the state officials and media constantly reported.
This is why a free, uncompromised press is an absolutely necessary part of any democracy. This is why reporters and journalists are attacked by the ZRP. The ZRP are not the protectors of the people, not the guardians of law and order, but the enforcers within the ZANUPF mafia. This is why Chin’oro is in leg irons.
A message for the SADC: Mnangagwa is not dissuaded from his course by your words, but only by his fear of your actions. Until you prove that your concerns are enough to provoke action, your messages are wasted drivel.
When they send someone to court in handcuffs and leg irons it is usually for show in the pretense that the accused is a very dangerous criminal. When the Prison truck is also escorted by a platoon of black boots they are getting really desperate with their false claims.
