Situation Overview
• Flooding following Cyclone Idai in mid-March has affected 270,000 people as of 6 April 2019.
• The most heavily affected areas are the districts of Chimanimani and Chipinge in Manicaland which have been isolated due to roads and bridges being washed away. Mashonaland East (Chikomba district) and Masvingo (Zaka and Bikita districts) have also been affected.
• The Logistics Cluster was officially activated on 4 April 2019. A Logistics Cluster Coordinator and an Information Management Officer have been deployed to Mutare.
