Grace Mugabe’s Chipanga Faces Justice In Court

First Lady Grace Mugabe’s aide, the former leader of the ZANU PF Youth League, Kudzai Chipanga is in court today facing charges causing dissatisfaction in the army, communicating falsehoods, and undermining
public confidence in Zimbabwe Defense Forces.

13:38 – Chipanga leaves court, awaits remand ruling.

13:37- The arresting cops allege that they did not see Chipanga being dropped off as narrated by him earlierl

13:37- Prosecutor says they are amazed that no-one (not even Chipanga’s wife) challenged or reported the “unlawful” detention of Chipanga for the supposed 8 says he was missing.

13:37- The State begins a narration of its closing submissions in its application to put Chipanga on remand.

13:16- Chipanga alleges that he led his abductors from a place he did not know to his home while he was blindfolded.

13:15- One of the police officers who arrested Chipanga comes up to give evidence. Policeman says they had been looking for Chipanga since November 15 and found him on November 23 while walking to his gate.

13:14- Chipanga says he does not remember the name of police officer who advised him to seek refuge at Borrowdale police station.

13:14- Chipanga says of the people who abducted him – he was kept in a dark room, and assaulted everyday. He however adds that he had access to food.

1313 – Chipanga says he was arrested on Wed 15th November adding he he was arrested while seeking police protection at Borrowdale police station. He says his wife was also assaulted during the process.
